Universal TV Global rebrand

I was part of the team who develop Universal TV’s global design rebrand, in collaboration with the design
company, Red Bee. I advised and assisted, as part of the Universal in-house design team, on the principles
to establish brand positioning and logo design. I was then tasked with testing and adapting the creative and design
work across multiple global touchpoints: TV, OOH, Print, Digital, and Social.
We successfully launched the brand refresh, firstly in Africa, and then across the UK and Europe.

Evolving and adapting BRAND GUIDELINES

Regardless of how new brand guidelines are they have to evolve and adapt to work within their environment.
This can be seen when I created the first off-air work for Africa, with the launch of the TV show, ‘Bulletproof’.
For this I introduced the ‘dawn’ border for the first time. This device created a frame for the key art
and powerfully helped separate the artwork from its environment. This can be seen in the in-situ photos below.

PROVEN INNOCENT

Next, I launched ‘Proven innocent’ with Fraser’s Kelsey Grammer, evolving the brand look with
a new two-tone border, and echoing the colours of the border within the artwork.

New York Restaurant Launch. Otrarian.

This is the campaign I created to launch the world’s first low carbon restaurant in London and New York.
The Idea: How do you get people who enjoy meat to try vegetarian fast food? 
The Solution: By positioning it as a low carbon and healthy alternative to regular fast food. 
Meaning, opting for an Otarian meal is not just doing something for your own wellbeing,
it’s also doing something positive for the planet.

Below is the design for palm sized booklet I created.

However, Marvel allowed to create our own key art.

We did a ton of stencil design development to work out the best way to execute the final key art.
