Media First: Heartbeat countdown to
launch a medical drama
For the launch of Chicago Med, I created a media first – a live countdown to a Hospital TV drama
using heart beats. The countdown began one week from launch, at 705,600 beats, and then continued
until the following Friday at 9pm. The launch episode surpassed its viewer average by over 5 times.
The countdown stayed live until 9pm Friday night
